Family Tree Builder

The Ancestry24 Family Tree Builder has been created with South African needs in mind. It took almost a year to develop, and our engineers are still constantly improving on it, also based on your feedback.

One of the new features, about to be deployed in March 2010, is a GEDCOM file importer. This enables integration with desktop programs like Brothers Keeper, Legacy, Family Tree Maker and PAF.

Why use the Ancestry24 Family Tree Builder? Using the latest web technology, it doesn’t demand huge bandwidth. It allows you to let relatives find you and to connect with others with common ancestors. Access the most comprehensive database of South African genealogical records online to help you with research. You can also instantly interact with our experts and other researchers on the forum pages as well as network with other website users with common surname interests.

To start your tree, go to the Ancestry24 homepage and follow the link in the box to the left of the tree. You will need to register (it’s free) if you haven’t done so already. Watch the presentation below to see more about the program, but you should find it rather intuitive.
